BIO
I am a theatre teaching artist, arts educator, and creative writer. I have collaborated and taught with dozens of youth and arts organizations across California, including Shakespeare Society of America, Los Angeles Female Playwrights Initiative, 916 Ink, Sacramento County Office of Education (2024 California Golden Bell Award), B Street Theatre, E. Claire Raley Studios for the Performing Arts, and OnStage Theatre Arts. I introduce students to playwriting and creative writing concepts, foster creativity, and nurture collaboration among peers.
I wrote my first 10-minute play in high school which then won a major youth playwriting award – because of my incredible arts educators, my mission as an educator is to inspire students to discover the joy and freedom of the arts. I strive to create equitable learning environments that are welcoming, stimulating, and – importantly – fun. In addition to teaching, I consult with nonprofit organizations, publish my curriculum content online (check out my online storefront!), and collaborate with City of Sacramento arts and youth initiatives.
Throughout the school year I take ongoing professional development courses through SCOE, maintain general liability insurance coverage through Specialty Insurance Agency, and hold certificates in Child Abuse & Neglect Mandated Reporter Training (School Personnel) as well as CPR training through the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver Total program.
